We have all had that one friend who couldn’t stop talking about their breakup, but when we go through the same thing we often realize that their mindset is actually pretty easy to understand in some way, shape or form. It’s hard to let your thoughts drift and attain a calm equilibrium after breaking up, even if the relationship had been going downhill for a really long while. There are quite a few things we can tell you about what you should do after a breakup, but we feel like there is one thing that you shouldn’t do which might be far more important for you to learn about.
This mistake that everyone should avoid when taking simple ex girlfriend back advice is to bring in a third party. Suffice it to say that your stress and trauma will make you scramble for any kind of advice that anyone would be willing to offer up to you, but involving someone that was not in the relationship is usually going to cause a lot of friction. A big part of the reason why that is the case has to do with the fact that this third party most likely only knows your side of the story, so having them step in could make your ex get defensive.
If your ex feels like they are being cornered, they would only want to escape the situation instead of trying to talk things out. You can get advice from someone else for sure, but allowing them to act as some kind of an intermediary simply wouldn’t be fair to your ex unless you let her bring someone along too.
